Slow Death might be a new band, but its members have been performing together since the late 2000s. Whether you're a long-time fan of their previous bands or you're just getting to know them, know this: Slow Death is a sharp turn toward the shadows. It's certainly the darkest and most beguiling project in their shared history.
When listening to their upcoming self-titled EP, one could visualize skeletons cruising around on motorcycles in the deserts of Death Valley. The music itself is sonically in the spirit of 80s post-punk (think the morbid garage rock of Dead Moon, or the deadpan laments of Nick Cave). Bleak and evocative, Slow Death is a must-listen for the coming cold season.
